Writer and critic Adania Shibli, Berlin/Ramallah, has been writing novels, plays, short stories and narrative essays, which were published in various anthologies, art books, and literary and cultural magazines in different languages. Her latest is Dispositions (Ramallah: AMQF, 2012), an art book exploring the notion of movement in the works of contemporary Palestinian visual artists. Along her writing, Shibli is engaged in academic research and teaching. Since 2013, she has been an irregular visiting professor at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies, Birzeit University, Palestine. 

 

Artist, curator and publisher Ala Younis, Amman/Jerusalem. Her work investigates archives, film remains and artistic practices. Her projects were shown at the Venice, Istanbul and Gwangju Biennials, at the New Museum in New York, Institut du monde arabe among others. She curated several shows and film programmes, and the collection of “Museum of Manufactured Response to Absence”.

 



 

Consultant Huda Odeh-Laban, Ramallah, studied community development in Lyon-France. She has professionally developed her career in resource development and programme management at the National Conservatory of Music, where she acted as the Deputy Director for 11 years. In late 2011, she started working as an independent consultant in the cultural sector; she has developed and monitored projects for various organisations.

 

 

Artist Ibrahim Al-Muzayen, Gaza/Ramallah, works with installations, drawings and collages. Ibrahim is also a theatre director, set designer, and drama therapist. He has had several solo exhibitions in Palestine, Japan and Indonesia, and has produced several performance installations on Gaza Beach. He has contributed to group exhibitions in Palestine, France, Spain and the UAE. Mr Al-Muzayen is currently the Head of the resource centre of Yasser Arafat Museum.

 

 

Curator and Gallerist Samar Martha, Ramallah, is the Founder and Director of Gallery One in Palestine. Martha was also a co-founder and Director of “ArtSchool Palestine” until 2013.  She has worked with Visiting Arts – London on a range of projects across the Middle East. Martha has been writing, lecturing and curating exhibitions in the UK and abroad with a particular focus on Palestinian and Middle Eastern contemporary art practices, such as; This Day at the Tate Modern (2007), Still on Vacation at Nobel Peace Centre, Oslo (2007), In/Progress at Forum Schlossplatz, Switzerland (2010) and Localities at the Rokensdile Museum, Denmark (2010).

 

 

Artist Sliman Mansour, Jerusalem, studied fine arts at Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem. Sliman Mansour is one of the most distinguished Palestinian artists working today. Mansour has contributed extensively to the development of an infrastructure for the fine arts in the West Bank. He was the Head of the League of Palestinian Artists from 1986 to 1990. In 1994, Mansour co-founded al-Wasiti Art Center in East Jerusalem and served as Director from 1995 to 1996. He is a member of the Founding Board of Directors of the International Academy of Art Palestine, established in 2004 in Ramallah.
