The Tinkering Lab is a space where visitors are engaged in making-activities through which they can construct their own learning experiences and meaning-making through direct hands-on experimentation. It is a space for co-designing and creating prototypes and models where the audiences are active participants in the creation processes of science exhibits to be later fabricated in the workshop.
It is a safe space where participants use simple material, and where teachers can experiment with designing and making scientific inquiry-based activities and prototypes, in addition to developing communication methods for scientific ideas and concepts. Tinkering training is offered for teachers under the Education Programme, and the Science Studio participates in regional conferences with tinkering training sessions.
