The A. M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Engagement and Outreach Coordinator to work in its offices in Ramallah. Following is the description of this position:

 

Job Title: Engagement and Outreach Coordinator

Job Type: Full time

Line of Responsibility: Director of Public Programme

Work Location: Ramallah

 

Job Objectives:

Efficiently contributing to enhance the understanding, perception and image of the Foundation with the community in general, as well as the cultural, educational, civil and local government institutions. Strengthening the ties with the community in order to increase the public engagement in the Foundation’s programmes through coordinating, planning, organising, and promoting educational outreach activities corresponding with the public programmes of the foundation. 

 

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and follow up implementation of the annual outreach plan and budget based on the Public Programme’s annual plan, in close coordination with the Programme Director and relevant staff.
  • Design, coordinate and deliver outreach programmes with cultural, educational, civil and local government institutions.
  • Initiate, coordinate and follow up implementation of collateral activities parallel to the Foundations’ events. 
  • Design, coordinate and deliver outreach presentation sessions, workshops and other necessary activities with cultural, educational, civil and local government institutions to promote the Foundation, it’s programmes and activities. 
  • Design, coordinate, and develop additional outreach sessions with the Foundations’ programmes and relevant staff, where appropriate/required.
  • Contact educational, cultural, civil and local government institutions to increase the number of visits to the Foundation and promote the Foundation’s programmes and activities.
  • Undertake consultation with institutions to understand and identify potential barriers to visits, work with the Foundation’s relevant staff to remove/reduce barriers and document proposed solutions.  
  • Evaluate and report the impact of the outreach programmes and activities on widening the Foundation’s audiences and increasing visits to the Foundation and engagement in it’s Public Programme activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the interim and annual reports of the Public Programme and support the creation of marketing and media materials.
  • Promote the Foundation in close collaboration with the Communication and Public Relations Unit through local press and media.
  • any other work-related tasks.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A bachelor degree in Cultural Management, Social Work, or other related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in community-based projects outreach, planning and coordination.
  • Understanding of the impact of learning outcomes of engagement with cultural events.
  • Interest and knowledge of the arts and culture scene in Palestine, and the region at large.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines and potentially competing interests.
  • Experience in working with educational and cultural institutions.
  • Excellent knowledge and command of computer Microsoft office programs.
  • High communications skills, good networking and team work abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Occasionally, flexible work hours are required to accommodate evening and weekend activities.
