The Design Your Scientific Project programme is based on the do-it-yourself (DIY) principle. It includes interactive scientific activities that motivate children to create scientific projects using simple, easily available materials.
Children are encouraged to take the initiative and experiment with scientific tools and knowledge in order to equip them with scientific thinking—such as prediction, induction, reasoning, experimentation, analysis and scepticism—to reach conclusions.
The Child Centre-Gaza has been working on this project since March 2016.
The children have worked on a number of ideas that aim to solve a problem that have later been turned into projects.
The Centre encourages children to present their projects to the public through interactive scientific exhibitions, both inside and outside the Centre. Our firm belief is that this experience will enhance their personalities and confidence in themselves, as well as their ability to achieve and innovate.
