Winter 2019 activities featured Movement within Movement, Xbox Games, Play and Learn, Chess, Free Reading, Shadow of Tales, and I’ve Got a Tale. Activities also involved arts and handicrafts, such as A Wool Hat, My Colourful Umbrella, and Who Am I?.
Awareness sessions
Between 14 and 20 January 2019, the CCG also organised awareness sessions with children in the context of the Child Friendly Spaces project. Delivered by Hanan Abu Qassim, a paramedic, awareness sessions addressed children’s safety in the winter.
Awareness sessions were organised in all five Child Friendly Spaces targeted by the project. These aimed at raising children’s awareness about the prevention of common winter diseases and guidance on healthy nutrition.
The CCG has been implementing the Child Friendly Spaces project since 2009. The project seeks to promote psychosocial wellbeing of both children and their parents in the Gaza Strip. It combines cultural and learning activities in an integrated context.
