Tulkarem – (A. M. Qattan Foundation – 17 November 2018):
On Wednesday, 14 November 2018, in collaboration with the Women Development House in Anabta, the Educational Research and Development Programme (ERDP) of the A. M. Qattan Foundation organised an interactive encounter in Anabta, Tulkarem. The encounter brought together a group of women, who had participated in the ERDP Culture, Arts and Social Engagement Programme. In a conversation about their experiences in the project, participants told their personal stories as a context to understand the society and relevant transformations.
The interactive event was also attended by Ragheda Andoni, National Programme Officer at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC); Abd Al Kareem Hussein, ERDP Researcher and Coordinator; Samah Khawaja, ERDP Assistant Coordinator; and Jihad Sabboubah and Randa Ghanem, project coordinators in Anabta.
The encounter is a prelude to the next stage, in which women will produce an art exhibition that expresses their personal and social concerns. The exhibition will be curated by Artist Petra Barghouthi.
This interactive encounter was part of the Culture, Arts and Social Engagement project. Through the ERDP and Culture and Arts Programme, the AMQF implements the project in a number of areas across the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The project is co-funded by the SDC.
