The first stage of the finishing works at the AMQF Science Studio is nearly complete. The following works will involve electrical wiring installation, among other things. The Science Studio was allotted a space in the Ramallah Entertainment Complex by the Ramallah Municipality and is expected to be delivered to AMQF late April 2017.
All equipment and tools to be used for exhibit design and construction will arrive late March. These will include iron- and wood-cutting machinery as well as a 3-d printer.
The Exhibit Development Team is currently undergoing training with AMQF Science Project. The team is in the second stage of training at the Exploratorium Museum for Science and Art in the United States. In mid-April, the team is also planned to host a group of experts from the Exploratorium to train on operating exhibit construction machines and tools.
The Science Studio is a project conducted by AMQF, in partnership with the Ramallah Municipality and in cooperation with the Exploratorium Museum. Through the Studio, AMQF seeks to build interactive science exhibits that should form the nucleus for the upcoming Interactive Science Center. The Science Center’s mission is to contribute to the development of science education in Palestine.
