Concluding a Reading and Arts Workshop

Home In Qattan News Concluding a Reading and Arts Workshop

On 10-11 February, QCERD organised a workshop of reading and arts. Artist Ross Georgeson, a specialist in science and arts, supervised the workshop. The event brought together library supervisors and librarians from schools, public libraries, and institution libraries.

Organised on the sidelines of the QCERD Library activities, the workshop was designed to give participants the skills to link arts to reading and promote love of reading among children. The workshop focused on the skills of technical reproduction of children stories. The stories The Rooster Who Went to his Uncle’s Wedding and The Frog Who Climbed to the Sky, published earlier by the QCERD, were used in the workshop.
