On 31 October, the A. M. Qattan Foundation, in partnership with the French Consulate General in Jerusalem, Goethe Institute and Arte TV, organised the sixth ‘Ramallah Doc’ Pitching Commission for Documentary Films. Palestinian filmmakers pitched and defended their documentary films in front of a panel of commissioning editors, representing major international TV channels and producers.
The organisers announced the winners of the sixth edition on the same day prior to the premiere of the film The Wanted 18, directed by Amer Shomali and Paul Cowan, winners of Ramallah Doc 2009. The two 2014 winning projects, Broken Dreams by Mohamed Harb from Gaza, and Steadfast Art by Shady Srour from Nazareth, were awarded 2,000 Euros each. The selection was made based on the recommendation of the panel of commissioning editors.
