On 27 August, the Centre concluded a three-day training course on the subject of teaching and learning using the “Mantle of the Expert” (MoE) technique for kindergarten educators from Jerusalem. MoE is an approach that can be used to explore actively topics across the school curriculum through drama. It involves the creation of a fictional world where students assume the roles of experts in a designated field as means of learning.
The course was conducted by British drama experts Luke Abbott and Richard Kern, focusing on MoE concepts and elements in an integrated educational framework. It also focused on identifying learning objectives, planning using drama strategies, and similarities and differences between drama in education and MoE.
