The Culture and Arts Programme (CAP) aims to support talented young artists by offering them incentives to develop their talents, to enable them to achieve and/or present their creative projects, advance their knowledge and experiences, and take more prominent positions in the cultural scene locally and abroad. In support of artists’ technical, vocational, and educational development, the Programme offers scholarships, production and promotion grants and prizes which it awards on a competitive basis. CAP also extends its support to the art and cultural scene at large, through supporting institutions to carry out new artistic and cultural productions, events, and interventions.
CAP works in the performing arts, visual arts, literature and audio-visual arts fields.
CAP is known for its inclusive approach to all Palestinians regardless of their place of residency and promotes cultural collaboration between Palestine, the Arab region and the rest of the world through constructing professional networks of local Arab and international individuals and institutions.
