We began our work in Gaza with a mission to alleviate the suffering of children amidst the chaos of war. Led by facilitator Hadeel Hamdi Al Madhoun at the Qattan Cultural Centre, our first activity, "Happiness Maker," brought together 50 displaced children in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza City. In a refuge where families sought solace, we embarked on a journey of emotional expression and psychological support through the visual and performing arts, and cherished Palestinian games.
Our efforts don't end there. We are committed to organizing further activities and events with the collaboration of nine other dedicated artists and facilitators from cultural and child developmental backgrounds. Our goal is clear: to extend psychological and entertainment support to families and children enduring the harsh realities of displacement across Gaza's governorates. From Jabalia Camp in North Gaza to the Sheikh Radwan area in Gaza City, from Deir Al Balah Camp in Central Gaza to the displacement camps and tents in Rafah, we stand united in our determination to bring moments of joy and respite to those in need.
