Job Title: Assistant Curator
Job Type: Full time
Line of Responsibility: Director of Public Programme
Work Location: Ramallah
Job Objectives:
Efficiently contributing to development and delivery of public projects and events within the Public Programme, using a participatory approach with the relevant staff and partners and in line with the Foundation’s vision and strategic directions.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Strategic directions of the Programme and the Unit:
- Participate in planning the thematic and curatorial directions of the Public Programme and the Curatorial Unit.
- Participate in the formulation and development of media and promotion plans of the Unit, in cooperation with the Communications Unit.
- Advice on local, Arab and international partnerships on projects related to the strategic directions of the Programme and Unit.
- Represent the Programme in the openings of events, and in various media platforms when needed
Programs and Activities:
- Develop, and implement, work plans for the production of exhibitions, cultural programmes and activities.
- Assist in developing content, research
- Supervise the implementation of public events/ activities in coordination with the Community Engagement Unit.
- Develop plans to attract and build audience for all public events in partnership with the Community Engagement Unit.
- Draft proposals for new projects, activity plans within the Unit’s objectives and directions.
- Supervise the content development, production, distribution and promotion of the Unit's publications.
- Assist in writing material for publications. Assist in the production of exhibition catalogues and related textual material. Write open calls, and advertising materials that accompany various events.
Monitoring, evaluation, and quality control:
- Assist in formulating and developing policies and procedural standards appropriate to various activities.
- Contribute to the evaluation and renewal of the Programme’s annual supplier list, in cooperation with the procurement and contracting officer.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation meetings and carry out all related tasks according to the approved plans.
- Follow up on budgets and expenses related to assigned projects.
Administrative tasks:
- Assist in drafting the unit's annual work plans, and budgets.
- Prepare and submit periodic and specialized reports as required.
- Regular update of the Unit’s database and archive in relation to the assigned projects.
- Any other tasks as required by the programme.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in cultural management, museum management, curatorial studies, or relevant degree in humanities or political science
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Thorough knowledge of the culture and arts scene in Palestine and the region.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
