Ramallah, 6/6/2023 – The Qattan Foundation and Annahda Women Association are joining forces to provide inclusive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education for children with disabilities. The inaugural bristle-bot workshop, which took place on the 6th of June, equipped students with foundational knowledge in electronics and creative problem-solving. By collaborating with the Annahda Women Association, the Qattan Foundation aims to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and open doors to new possibilities for children with disabilities.

STEAM education integrates the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, providing students with a well-rounded and holistic learning experience that combines both technical and creative skills. Annahda students, who already produce traditional toys for the "Childhood" market, will now have the opportunity to integrate STEAM knowledge and skills in producing these games. This collaboration will enable them to create advanced toys while expanding their horizons in the field of electronics and technology. The hands-on workshop empowered participants to build their bristle bots, developing practical skills in circuits, motors, and STEAM principles. Areen Helou, representative of the Qattan Foundation, expressed excitement about partnering with Annahda to bring STEAM education to children with disabilities. The goal is to empower these exceptional children and promote inclusivity in education.

The bristle bot workshop, hosted at the Fablab on the Qattan Foundation premises on the 6th of June 2023, was led by expert educators in STEAM. It promises an interactive and enriching experience for both students and mentors. The Qattan Foundation and Annahda Institute envision expanding into diverse areas of technology and creative disciplines as they enhance STEAM education for children with disabilities. By equipping these children with advanced skills, they strive to create an inclusive society that values every individual's unique abilities.
