Between 1 – 7 April, QCC’s library and technical services unit organised National Reading Week activities in cooperation with the Tamer Institute for Community Education. The slogan for the week, “If they pluck out a thought, we will plant ten and one tree,” was chosen with the aim of engendering a sense of belonging and connection to the land and identity amongst participating children.
Nearly 500 children between the ages of 5-14 from the Centre, as well as kindergartens, private, public, and URNWA schools, joined in activities throughout the week.
