The Child Center-Gaza/AMQF in Gaza has recently launched ‘STEM in Library’, a new program that aims to build learning ability in children. The launch comes as part of the 2016 Fall Program, run by CCG since November 2016 through the current month, and which includes 35 child participants from the Asmaa Co-Ed Elementary School (A). STEM in Library seeks to develop learning ability in children and improve their school performance, especially in science and math.

Rose Manaama, a child participant, expressed her joy for being part of the program. “I learned how to grow plants and care for them,” she said. “We had a lot of fun in the program and I liked the song about the different parts of plants. We learned scientific information we will never forget”.

The program features a number of activities at the intersection of various science, technology, geometry and math subjects.
