Bethlehem, June 19, 2023 — Students from Al-Mustaqbal, Al-Fajr Aljdeed, and Palestine Red Crescent School for Deaf, who are part of the STEAM club (Fab lab), embarked on an enlightening and inspiring field trip to the Biodiversity Museum in Bethlehem. During this trip, they gained invaluable knowledge about the rich biodiversity of Palestine and learned innovative ways to reuse materials and reduce waste.

Throughout the day, the students actively engaged with interactive exhibits and immersive displays that showcased the remarkable diversity of plants, animals, and ecosystems found in Palestine. They were given tours of various exhibitions in the museum as well as its botanical garden. One of the highlights of the field trip was the hands-on workshop on reusing materials and waste products. Through practical demonstrations and engaging activities, the students learned how to transform discarded items into useful resources, thereby reducing their environmental impact.

"The field trip to the Biodiversity Museum was an eye-opening experience for our students," said Areen, the STEAM specialist at the Qattan Foundation. "It not only deepened their understanding of the remarkable biodiversity present in Palestine but also empowered them to make a positive impact through sustainable practices. They have gained a new perspective on the importance of conserving nature and preserving our environment for future generations."

The visit aimed to increase students' knowledge and awareness of natural history and the methods used to protect nature and the ecological system in Palestine.
